CG Engineering provided structural engineering for the installation of new mechanical units on the roof of an existing concrete tilt up building. Several mechanical units already existed on the roof and were supported by raised steel platforms. Design for three exhaust fans was achieved using sleepers to distribute the weight onto multiple roof joists. A RTU unit was too heavy to be supported on roof joists and raised steel beams were designed to span between the existing girder line and an existing mechanical platform.
