Wood framed construction
CG Engineering provided structural engineering services for a change of use and tenant improvement to an existing 2-story wood framed building that was previously used as a bank and was converted into a church. A new second floor was built on top of the existing main floor and the existing foundation was reinforced with steel pin piles to support the additional load. The new roof and upper floor were framed with TJI joists supported on wood and steel beams. New entry canopies were constructed at the west and south entrances with glulam beams and columns.
