CG Engineering has provided structural engineering for dozens of tiny homes throughout the Seattle and Puget Sound area. The DADUs start as generic designs with various models available, ranging from 250 to 1,200 sq ft. in size. The roof, walls and floor are generally constructed from SIP panels and the foundations use sonotubes. When an owner purchases a tiny home, CG Engineering provides the necessary calculations and designs to make any customizations requested by the owner and/or meet jurisdictional requirements to make the DADUs suitable for permit and construction.
