CG Engineering provided structural engineering for a $19,000,000 capital improvement project at the Whatcom County PUD main water treatment plant.  The project included additions to their existing intake and plant control buildings.  In addition, several new structures were constructed such as a new high head pump station building, a maintenance facility, a storage facility, and two new settling basins.  To match the appearance of the existing structures, the additions and new buildings consisted of concrete foundations and basement walls, CMU above-grade perimeter walls, and wood roof structures.  CG Engineering’s scope of work for these capital improvements included structural design, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and construction support.
