CG Engineering provided structural engineering for an art installation inside the cafeteria of these spherical greenhouse-inspired buildings built by one of Seattle’s most prominent companies. We provided engineering design to hang black-locust wood “branches” which were designed by a local artist. The branches were hung from the light-gauge ceiling soffit with the challenge being to design a solution that would not cut into the existing ceiling fabric and lay out connection points to interconnect the branches to each other.
