CG Engineering provided structural and civil engineering services for the Makah National Fish Hatchery project located on the Tsoo Yess River near Makah Bay. The project goal was to replace the deteriorating 1970’s timber weir apron approximately 100ft long with 8” thick precast concrete weir sections. Our civil engineering team designed the overflow bypass system and provided temporary road and channel armoring designs for the project. The existing concrete sub-structure remained in place and was retrofitted for the new pre-cast concrete weir sections. The river was dewatered with porta dams via pumping through the fish hatchery to allow for construction.
