CG Engineering provided structural engineering for the construction of a new tower climbing system on an existing 300-ft tall, self-supporting, latticed communications tower. The new climb system included a full-height ladder system with several rest platforms to improve safety. The project included analysis of the existing tower and upgrade design to support the increased loads. We provided construction documents, bidding services, cost estimates, and construction support. CG coordinated with the client to ensure that the climb system met the specific needs of their personnel, and that the tower analysis accurately accounted for all existing appurtenances and as-built information.
