CG Engineering provided the structural design for a new church building. A 476-seat sanctuary, multipurpose room, foyer with café, classrooms and kitchen will be constructed. The foyer has a structural insulated panel roof over heavy timber trusses. The sanctuary roof is framed with open web steel joists and girders. The walls of the sanctuary are structural steel frames with ordinary concentrically braced frames and metal stud infill. The entry is framed with heavy timber trusses and posts supported by concrete pedestals covered in stone veneer.
