THE MACGREGOR
Civil and structural design services were provided for this 4-story mixed use building with 1 story of below grade parking and 3 stories of retail and residential above.
The parking level and retail floor are constructed of concrete post-tensioned slabs, concrete columns and walls, and a slab-on-grade floor. Spread footing foundations were planned.
Shoring was required on four sides of the excavation utilizing cantilevered soldier piles with an exposed height of 18 feet.
LAKEWOOD VILLAGE
CG provided structural and civil engineering for this mixed-use project. Lakewood Village consisted of two buildings. The larger building contained approximately 15,500 SF of commercial space on the first floor with 30 residential units contained on the second and third floor.
The smaller building had 4 townhouse units built over open parking. The site was approximately 1.1 acre in size and included residential parking stalls, was fenced and gated. There were commercial parking stalls adjacent to the commercial footprint.
THE GREGORY
We were part of the design-build team providing civil and structural engineering construction documents for a 21,108 square foot, condominium/office building with one story of below grade parking and twenty-two condominium units. The parking level up to the first floor was constructed of concrete basement walls and a slab-on-grade floor. The upper residential floors are wood framed construction, utilizing plywood shear walls for seismic/wind resistance. Shoring consisting of cantilevered soldier piles was required.
In December 2005, a fire engulfed the building resulting in a total loss. CG Engineering provided engineering services for demolition and repairs to concrete slabs and walls and was involved throughout re-construction.
